Brain Flotsam V2.007

This week we started experimenting with the printing press at the Art League, using clear acetate and watercolor paper.


And after I did my run on the press, I didn't feel inspired to add watercolor to the pieces so I did a new one.

This is what I started last week as an exercise in values and shapes.

Yes, people, it's the return of the weekly watercolor class reports!  Until I get my household in order, this may be the only art for a while!

Still Life on Green Plate

Today I whipped out two decent pieces, instead of the usual one awesome one and one craptastic one.
Of course, that means I now have fewer duds to noodle on the back of, but oh, well. Our exercise was "saving the whites" for which we mostly painted laundry.

This one has some wax pencil on it, which didn't work quite as well as I'd hoped.
