GROTESQUE, but absolutely brilliant! What a striking image - and drawn so powerfully.

I don't know if it's just me, but I found the only way I could get into your post to see the pic was with "Leave a comment" action - links don't seem to be co-operating.

OMG that is brilliant!

And in my world of Snupin with strange pets, it seems so appropriate that he would have such an amazing creature. Look how fascinated he is by it! I bet he's thinking of giving it a name, eh? ;)

Gorgeous!

"I bet he's thinking of giving it a name, eh...?"

Or deciding how best to utilise the bits...

[smirk] It's not Severus who collects peculiar pets...
I'm sure if Remus saw this beetle he'd very quickly adopt it and call it Roger.

I agree with Skree - he's clearly contemplating all the fascinating ways he can use the beetle. I wonder if it's used in the Wolfsbane potion?

Parts is parts!! He has plans for that beetle and they don't include a name!! Love Sev's face here!!

LOL, thank you! Somehow even if he named it I don't think that would save it come potion-making time. ;)

Wow, that's quite a lovely (if grotesque) beetle. Severus does seem rather intrigued. Well done.

How characterful! I also really love this as a painting - the monochrome colours and ink/watercolour feel are very artistic :-)

Lovely drawing, and the beetle makes a nice contrast, but I think I'd scream my head off if one that big came near me! I feel a bit sorry for the beetle, though, since I suspect he's going to end up in a cauldron sooner or later. ^_^

A Familiar Ingredient

Oooh, what a beautifully done rhinoceros beetle! And the way Snape is eyeing it, even though gently supporting it on his hand. Is it a Familiar, an Ingredient, or first one & then the other? *g*

Man! He's going to have enough Beetle Bits to last him and his Potions Supplies a lifetime!

Good job with the creepy and great job with the Snape bits!
