Seven Things, huh?

A. List seven habits/quirks/facts about yourself.

I don't recall if I've done one of these before...

1. I performed with a Polish folk dance group throughout Texas from the time I was small until I left for college. I still miss it.

2. I am essentially an optimist about the future of humanity, but I do love a good apocalypse.

3. I feel that I am too fickle to get a tattoo, even though body art fascinates me. I indulge in occasional rounds of henna or body paint instead.

4. I have married five couples. Once I was part of a trio of officiants that sounds like the beginning of a great joke: "A priest, a rabbi, and a Wiccan priestess walk into a ballroom..."  Once I did an imitation of the Impressive Clergyman from The Princess Bride: "Mawwage. Mawwage is what bwings us togethah, today..." Interfaith Minister at Large, geek weddings a specialty.

5. The first movie I ever saw in the theater was the 1977 release of Star Wars. I was an infant, and cried through the opening until Darth Vader came on screen. Family legend says that it was love at first sight. I watched the rest of the film with quiet fascination.

6. I have worked as a pet portrait artist.

7. I am a freak for interesting textiles and fashion, adore costuming and crafts, make quilts and dolls, and have been known to embroider. But I just cannot get on the whole knitting bandwagon. Tried it, I do know how, but I just can't seem to get in that zone. I love the clever patterns and things I see, and try to figure out how to incorporate them into quilts. 

Gee, do I know anybody who hasn't done this already?  I tag with the full knowledge that folks can and will ignore it.  ;)
